Private telecom companies like Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (VI) were allotted spectrum for the trial of 5G service in May this year. All these telecom companies will trial 5G services in different areas across the country. Spectrum has been allotted to MTNL by DoT for a 5G trial in Delhi. Government telecom company MTNL will complete the 5G trial in the Najafgarh area of ​​South West Delhi.

According to DoT, it is estimated that 5G technology will achieve 10 times faster-downloading speed than 4G. Its spectrum efficiency will be three times more.
